About Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta is an idyllic Mexican resort town perched on the scenic Pacific coast along the Bahìa de Banderas — considered to be one of the most beautiful bays in the country. It is an internationally renowned travel destination due to the appeal of its stunning tropical beaches, incredible scenery, and abundance of water activities. It can be quite humid year-round, and very hot during the summer, so plan your trip during the autumn to spring months to avoid the hectic tourist season and to enjoy the milder temperatures.

Boating in Puerto Vallarta

There is nothing quite like exploring the beautiful Puerto Vallarta coast by watercraft, and there are many local charter options that you can explore during your stay. Motor yachts and sailboats are equally popular in this region and can help you to see a great deal of the coastline while still allowing for plenty of time for relaxing in the sun. You can also keep it simple by checking out a sea kayak, jet ski, or paddleboard, or tune into your adventurous side by snorkeling, diving, or trying out a water jetpack.

Sportfishing is one of the biggest draws of Puerto Vallarta. In addition to the joys of spending a day out on the water, there are a wide variety of specimens that you can catch just a short way away from shore. Charter a sportfishing excursion for the chance to land trophy-size tuna, mahimahi, sailfish, or marlin.

Islander 36' Sailboat for Charter in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit

Fernando and the crew were very helpful and friendly throughout our trip! We got lots of fun facts on our ride out, saw lots of sea life from the boat and snorkeling, and loved the beach we visited! It was a seamless experience and the crew went above and beyond in terms of service. We brought our own tequila and they made great drinks for us on board throughout. The boat itself could use an update in terms of facilities and decor, but it was an amazing day on the water and everyone had such a great time! I wouldn’t hesitate it book again, this beats a large tour company any day!

French Design Lagoon 43 Power Catamaran in Puerto Vallarta

There were 13 of us on this chartered catamaran. It was a perfect boat for us. The crew was amazing and the food delicious. We would definitely do this again. Snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and just enjoying being out on the water. Seeing lots of Sea Turtles swimming next to the boat was amazing.

Highly recommend! Very quick communication, and they are very helpful in helping you figure out an itinerary that works for you. We rented the boat for 4 people for my boyfriends 30th birthday and they even got him a cake! Hugo and his team were amazing, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Hugo and his crew were the best!!!! Very attentive and accommodating. They helped arranged a cake for my husbands 40th bday as well as included soft drinks, beer, water, freshly made guacamole and shrimp ceviche. They were friendly and helpful which made it a special and a very pleasant experience. I would advise taking Dramamine in case you feel seasick. We would sail again with Hugo anytime!!!

We had an amazing trip! Ivan, our captain, and Ballo couldn't have made us feel more special and pampered. They took us snorkeling and paddle boarding. Ballo made guacamole and ceviche that was out of this world. I swear if we looked like we were going to need a water or beer, Ballo suddenly was right there with a fresh one. They even got my husband a birthday cake with his name on it and his favorite beer, Coors Light. I could not recommend Hugo and his team enough.
