Once on Ayangue beach, we depart in a boat, to this wonderful protected marine reserve located 1 hour and a half from Ayangue and 20 miles from the mainland. In low Copei there is a great biodiversity of marine species such as: Turtles, Giant Blankets, Eagle rays, Snapper, Snook, Cherna, Guato, Octopuses and a great variety of corals and colorful fish among others. The best months to dive in Cope are from June to October, the time when the beautiful Giant Blankets come to visit us every year. Islote Ahorcados Islote Ahorcados is formed by three large rocks that arise from the same base, it is assumed that they are composed of volcanic rocks, represented by diabases, dolerites, pyroxenites and basalts. The oral tradition tells about legends of old pirates hanged by the authorities of the time to discourage the practice of that illegal activity. Other legends tell that in the place ancient human sacrifices were made. Its sea bottom borders the 40 feet of depth formed by a very varied relief of rock formations, tunnels, caves and passages that make diving very fun in it.
