What To Expect Onboard: Pilgrim is a Beneteau 50 sailing yacht in the owner's version with 4 double cabins, electric toilets, very comfortable shower, webasto heating (independent of the engine), desalinator and sauna. This is not a joke, there is a real sauna on board made by a native Fin - the previous owner of the unit. Sounds abstract, we know. This is the only yacht with a sauna we've seen. Our yacht has been adapted for long oceanic trips , which makes it a very safe unit in all conditions. We are autonomous, among others thanks to enormous fuel tanks (680l in total) and water (1000l) and a desalination plant (we use it during multi-day trips). Electricity is provided by very efficient solar panels (MPPT controllers ) with a power of 700W and a wind generator. All this so that we can easily use large batteries (5x200 Ah + 160 Ah). 3.5 kW inverterprovides power to devices powered on 230V, and a washing machine on board will help keep our clothes clean if necessary. Energy is also needed to supply  • two refrigerators (also a freezer) • electric toilets • electric capstan maneuvering • chartplotter • heating (water heating also using Webasto) • hydraulic autopilot • radar • AIS class B (transmitter and receiver) • receiver SSB (we receive weather forecasts everywhere in the world) • satellite telephone and many other equipment items. The yacht also has  • a pressure coffee maker • a new (2015) stove with an oven • a TV set + satellite antenna with a satellite decoder + DVD • WiFi Specification • Make: Beneteau 50 Owners Version • Overall length: 15.47 m. • Width: 4.48 m. • Draft: 2 m. • Displacement: 14.800 kg. • Mast height: 20.5 m • Engine: 84 hp • Cabins: 4 • Capacity: 6 to 8 people • Capacity of water tanks: 1000 l. • Capacity of the fuel tank: 500 l. Frequently Asked Questions 1. I have no sailing experience, does not it bother me? You do not need to have any sailing experience on our cruises. All the rules necessary for efficient and safe navigation on the yacht, operating equipment and behavior in various situations will be presented during the training at the beginning of the cruise. Our skippers have the necessary knowledge needed to run the yacht. Willing people can be trained in a wider range. 2. What to take with you? The list of things that are useful on the cruise can be found here. 3. Will I suffer from seasickness? It is rare for someone to get sick during the cruise. We swim in calm waters, where waving is usually small and flights as short as possible. 4. What is the age of the crew? If the cruises are intended for a particular age group, it is written in the description of the particular voyage. Our experience shows that age is not an obstacle to having fun, everything depends only on people. 5. What are the skipper permissions? Is the skipper experienced? Skipper's powers: - yacht captain (patent entitles you to run yachts without length and body limits), - motorboat captain (patent entitles you to operate motor yachts without restrictions) - radio operator in the SRC marine service (GMDSS) - radar operator / ARPA at the operational level. - support for yacht electronics: GPS, Navtex, Plotters, etc. - Junior Sailing Instructor PZŻ - ISSA instructor 6. What will you see during the cruise? On most cruises we meet dolphins, we admire the beautiful views of the passing islands and coasts. Due to the diversity of reservoirs on which we swim, more details can be found in the descriptions of specific cruises. 7. And how much does it cost? The costs are listed in the trip descriptions. If something is unclear, please contact us. 8. How to get to the port? How much is it? If the transport from the airport / bus is not included in the price, the details will be sent before the event. 9. When and where to exchange currency and how much? Depending on the countries in or through which the cruise route runs are different. Current rates can be checked at: NBP exchange rates table. A large part of payment enables free withdrawal of cash from ATMs. We have learned many times that the exchange rate is better then, although this is not the rule. 10. Do you have to cook and clean? There is a watch division on the yacht. It consists in dividing the crew into groups (2-3 people), which are responsible for meals and cleaning after them on a given day. We cook fast, tasty dishes on the yacht - we are on vacation :-). Of course, it happened that we made more than 100 dumplings, or fried hundreds of pancakes ... :) Cleaning - if everyone will change their rubbish after each other, there will be no problem. 11. How much time to explore in each port? In ports we usually have a lot of "free time", everyone does what he wants, we help and advice what is interesting in a particular place. Depending on the needs and willingness, we have from several hours even to the whole day. Some islands are a pity to visit "only for a few hours", it is worth staying longer, renting a car, scooter or motorbike and sightseeing - this is also the time. 12. What are the attractions / conveniences of the yacht itself? On the yacht we have sun, good fun, wind - sailing! Apart from, of course, sailing, bathing in coves, admiring beautiful views, we have audio equipment (CD / DVD depending on the equipment), a PC with the possibility of using the Internet, and others. 13. What routes do you swim? We try to make small day passages, to be able to take a bath, swim in coves, visit inaccessible places from the mainland and do not get tired of it ;-).  For those who want an experience and more swimming (including the night!), We have diversified our offer and we can also prepare cruises to order. 14. What about food? We usually buy food on site due to the individual needs and preferences of the crew. We do not want to impose on you our way of nutrition, but we will certainly help in choosing and buying the right products and quantities for the yacht. It is also possible to order catering. 15. I have not swam yet, will I be able to do it? On our cruises, we do not require sailing experience, you will be trained in safety rules, rules for navigating the yacht and using the yacht equipment will be presented. Skipper has the knowledge and skills necessary to run a yacht. Additional training for those willing navigation, localization or meteorology. 16. Do I have to have a passport / visa? Depending on the area in which we will be swimming, only an ID card, passport or visa is needed. In the Mediterranean cruises, where you enter the ports outside the Schengen area, you also need a passport. 17. Do you need a sleeping bag or bedding? On holiday cruises, to Greece, Croatia to the Mediterranean there is no need - just take towels. In other cruises on cooler water bodies, you will need your own sleeping bag, although we provide blankets, pillows and bedding. 18. What currency? What conversion rate? Depending on the region in which we go, different currencies apply. We make a screenshot for the yacht office in the local currency - we give costs in EUR on the website - it is easier to know the costs in this way. We are not able to predict future rates (which is a pity ;-)). 19. Is there someone on the yacht who will provide first aid? Yes, the skipper is trained in first aid. Has the appropriate certificate. 20. Will the cruise take place despite the bad weather? We swim in places where the weather "must" be good or very good :-) If weather conditions force us to do this, we will modify the route in the most appropriate way. 21. Where can I wash? On the yacht there are bathrooms, equipped with showers, you can also wash in the ports. 22. What to pack in? Pack it in a soft bag, which can easily be rolled up and stored in the storage compartment on a yacht or lay flat under the mattress. Do not pack in hard travel suitcases !!! This makes it very difficult for them to later be kept on a yacht. 23. What are the beaches? It all depends on the region. In Croatia, beaches are for the most part rocky or pebble. In Greece, we find both sand, gravel and stony. In the Canary Islands, the Caribbean, Seychelles - mainly sand. 24. Will there be room for keeping clothes and cosmetics? Yes of course. yachts are equipped with "wardrobes" and lockers (lockers) of quite large capacity, also in the bathrooms there are cabinets for toiletries, cosmetics, etc. We recommend taking a beautician with you. We do not always have the whole bathroom only for ourselves. 25. Will we sail at night? As long as we feel like it or the cruise route will not allow you otherwise, we will sail at night. Everyone will have the opportunity to test themselves at the helm of the yacht, the skipper will also be watching the yacht all the time. 26. How much time per day will we sail, will there be free time? Depending on the planned route, we will sail from 3-4 hours even to the whole day, of course with stops for bathing, visiting interesting places and coves, etc. Cruises with more swimming are described in detail in this respect. 27. Will I and where can I charge my cell phone, camera, MP3? On the yacht you will be able to charge phones, MP3 players, cameras, etc. 28. What do cabins look like when I sleep? On the yacht we have four double cabins, no problem to come alone - you will most likely share a cabin with the other participant of the cruise. 29. What is life on a yacht like? The crew is divided into watches - two-person teams that have several roles to fulfill, the first day each day the different watch has so-called. "galley" is responsible for preparing meals, cleaning up after them and for the overall order in the mess. On some cruises, the whole day is divided into four-hour periods, during which the next watch has a navigational watch, that is, control, observe and navigate. 30. Who will be on the yacht? The captain and the deputy captain will be on the yacht outside our guests. If necessary, the assistant captain helps in the watch, takes part in the yacht life and sometimes replaces the captain. He does not participate in the costs of the yacht (apart from specific cases).
