Frequently Asked Questions Are there any age limits? There are no restrictions if you are going with a Captain; if you want to drive the boat for yourself the limit is 25 years old or older. What are the typical hours? You can drive the boat for yourself anytime starting from 9 am and comeback by 6 pm (Refer to the specific boat you want for available hours); night rentals are only with captains. I have a 1 year old does he counts as a full passenger? According to the USCG every person regardless of age count as a passenger of the boat, therefore any child will be count as a person. Do you have lifejackets for Children? Yes, we will provide you with all the safety equipment you need to make your ride a wonderful one; we have lifejackets for your small ones, just please let us know beforehand for more than 2 children going with you. Are pets allowed on the boat? Yes we love pets, just keep in mind they might get scared sometimes and tear the cushions on the boat; please take care of them accordingly. There are no restrictions on the weight. I don’t have the boater’s license. Is that a problem? According to the FWC you will only need a Boater’s license if you were born after 1/1/1988, you can get one online, either permanent or temporary we can also provide you with one if you don’t have it, the cost is just $3 for a temporary one. I have a boater’s License from another State does that work? Yes, as long as its approved by NASBLA and you have it with you the day of your rental you should be good to go. Do you have Jet Skis? Unfortunately we don’t have Jet Skis right now, we might provide you with info for another company that might have so you can rent from them, inquire. What’s the Usual Speed of the Boats? Our Boats can reach speeds of over 30 MPH depending on the conditions, if you are going with a full capacity it will be hard for the boat to reach that kind of speed, also the Miami Police is very strict with the speed limits, they are trying to protect human life as well as marine life, please act accordingly to the area and help us make your trip a memorable one. What are the Limits of the rental? Our Limits are pretty big considering other rental companies, we do forbid going to the Open Ocean as it’s dangerous for customers even with experience, please go to the Limits tab for a map with the specifics. I do not have experience can I still rent a boat? We don’t judge our customers, we will make sure to give you quick hands on instructions on how to operate the boat before you leave, just make sure to let us know if you have any doubts before departing with the boat. If you do not feel fit to drive it please also let us know and we may send a driver with you. Is there parking? Yes, we have parking outside our premises, there is a section that is free and another one where a parking meter is placed, and we will let you know where to park once you are here with us. What can I bring to the boat? We are very open when it comes to this, you can bring your own food, cooler with ice, drinks etc, just help us maintain our boats clean for you and the next guests. If you need a cooler with ice we also have that option for a small fee. IMPORTANT: our boats are a drug free zone; we have 0 tolerances when it comes to any kind of drugs and we will terminate your rental without your consent and contact the authorities. I want to jump in the water is that ok? Definitely, Miami offers a variety of places where you can throw the anchor and go in the water, if you do not know where to go, ask our staff and we will gladly suggest a couple places. I want to throw a Surprise on the boat, can I make decorations? Definitely we are up for any great experience and exceeding expectations, so you can decorate the boat however you like as long as the boat come back to the same original configuration once you come back with it. Can we fish on the boat? We allow Catch and release, but we like to be under compliance all the time, so you may be required to show your fishing license that you can get at Walmart, Bass Pro Shops, West Marine, etc. When fishing on the boat please clean any blood residue before it stains the boat or the cushions, extra cleaning fees may be charged. How long does it take to get to the bay? Since we are located inside the Miami River and the whole river is a NO WAKE ZONE the trip to the bay could be around 10 to 15 minutes, that is why we give our customers a complimentary trip on the river, meaning we will add 15 minutes to your rental without you asking for it. Do we have to put gas on the boats? No, we will give you the boat full of gas or at least enough to complete your rental and have extra gas just in case. What if I hit the bottom and the propeller gets damage? The cost of labor and replacement of the propeller is usually $280, we offer a $14.99 Propeller insurance which will cover you in case this happens, we also have a Full Protection Package available that will cover the boat in case of damage, keep in mind the towing expenses of the boat (if needed) will not be covered, nor third party damages to other boats or liabilities. What happens if it rains the day of my reservation? We understand Mother Nature, and since it is not our customers fault neither ours we are willing to reschedule for any unforeseen circumstances, like Thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornados alerts, high tides alerts, etc. The customer will have a chance to reschedule their reservation to another available time, and will have up to 1 year to do so. If you are traveling from another country or state, we recommend you get the weather protection, which will provide you with a full refund in case this happens. For weather purposes we check our weather software, and we will determine with a couple hours before the reservation to be as accurate as we can if it’s safe to go out and if the rain will affect our area. Please stay in contact with our staff members, do not assume the rental will not go on if it’s raining at that time.
